Doug McBee was born and raised right here in the great state of Georgia. Doug and his wife Christy met in 1992 while he was serving as a youth pastor in McDonough Georgia and she was in the college and career department. They married in 1994 and are celebrating 30 years in 2024! God called him to serve the local church while he was a freshman in college through a process of events and people who came in and out of his life. He started serving the local church at 19 as a youth pastor and eventually became a Youth and Associate pastor. At 28, God called him to be a church planter right here in Jackson Georgia where he and his wife and 9 other people started a church in their living room. Doug was called to MBC in September of 2021 to be a guest speaker while the church went through a transition. By December of 2021, Doug and the church knew God had brought them together on purpose and Doug became our permanent Lead Pastor. As Lead Pastor, Doug carries the main responsibility for preaching, teaching, leadership, and guidance for the church as a whole and also leads our other staff members. Doug is passionate about the purity of the church and teaching the Word in a way that is understandable and applicable to every day life. He enjoys traveling, fishing, golf, and cookouts with friends and family.

Our corporate gathering starts at 10:30 am every Sunday morning When you arrive, park on the right side of campus and enter the side door. If you cannot make it, you can watch our livestream on Facebook. We look forward to worshipping with you!

Led by our Children's Minister, Ella Simmons, this new program will be a fun and exciting way to teach kids about Jesus and the gospel. Crosstown is an all-new experience just for kids that builds a Bible story based small group curriculum full of great worship songs, fun games, on screen teaching illustrations and weekly Bible verses. It will help your kids to grow in their relationships with God, with their family, with their leaders, and with their friends. Crosstown will meet every week at 10:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall area also known as the new Children’s area.
